January 31, 2024At UDWA, we are passionate about promoting inclusive sports as a key tool for mobilizing women and girls with disabilities and their children.
Our program features activities like table tennis, football, and badminton, which not only enhance physical fitness but also foster community spirit and empowerment.
Through our sports initiatives, we provide a platform for participants to develop their skills, build confidence, and form meaningful connections.
These activities promote social interaction and recognition, helping to break down barriers and create a more inclusive environment.
Our commitment to inclusive sports has led to significant positive outcomes within the community.
We have witnessed talent identification and personal growth among participants, contributing to stronger community ties and a sense of belonging.
However, we recognize the challenges that still exist.
Efforts to engage government bodies, such as the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, in recognizing inclusive sports as a vital tool for the integration and rehabilitation of children and persons with disabilities are ongoing.
Additionally, there is a pressing need for a comprehensive framework to support the mainstreaming of disability sports at the local level.
At UDWA, we remain dedicated to addressing these gaps and ensuring that inclusive sports continue to serve as a powerful avenue for empowerment and community development.
We strive to create a supportive environment where all participants can embrace their abilities and reach their full potential.
